The OA fellowship\, patterned after the 12-Stepprogram of Alcoholics Anonymous brings together individuals who gather to support each otherwhile dealing with their common problem of compulsive eating and related eating disorders.We are not professionals. For many individuals\, we are seen as a supplement to their work withprofessionals. We treat our problem as a threefold illness – physical\, emotional\, and spiritual.There are no requirements for membership\, no dues or fees and no weigh-ins. We are notaffiliated with any other organizations\, nor are we in competition with any professional servicesor weight-loss programs.
